Slightly Ajar

There is blood on the tracks
And dead crows upside down

Hung hearts hallowed harbingers
Boatmen sailing you to solid ground

Like cabbies, carpenters, charioteers
Torchbearers bridging hope from fears

Pull hope from quivers, aim arrows
At cracked vestiges of lost windows

Welcome in the light that you desire
To reflect upon others tho’ still mired

Wrestling, stumbling, and clamoring
Alone in black searching for a glimmer

Like waning moons hiding from stars
Pacing inside shadows just barely ajar
